Imagine being in my position.
It was either risking my family’s wellbeing or letting go of my ego.
So I crawled back to a 9-to-5 job in December 2017.
I’m fortunate to have worked in companies whose people I enjoyed working with. I have fond memories of my time working in those businesses.
However, the thought of being boxed inside a lackluster cubicle, waking up at 5 am every day, commuting to work in my old blue Toyota Corolla, having to negotiate insane deadlines, and asking for permission for a vacation didn’t bring me joy.
I also hated feeling like a failure.
So I decided to make a drastic change.
